Hello,

Thank you for your contribution to the suggestion box, which we have carefully reviewed and evaluated.

Actually, a zip line would be a great addition to this space!

Unfortunately, for both landscape and safety reasons, it is not feasible to install such a structure along the Promenade de la Ficelle.

The primary purpose of this promenade is to serve as a space for strolling and relaxation. Installing a zip line would significantly undermine the tranquility intended for this location.

A zip line requires a flat area at least 20 meters long and 4 meters wide, equipped with a landing mat. Given the side slope of the promenade, such a project seems complicated. Furthermore, this installation would be difficult to integrate into the aesthetic and landscape context of the promenade. It would also require a building permit process involving a public notice period.

We’d like to remind you that three play areas with a variety of activities are just a few minutes’ walk away: La Harpe and Place de la Navigation, 200 meters away, as well as the Rhoner countryside, 500 meters away.

Thank you for your understanding. Best regards.

Zip Line for Children - Green Corridor

Avatar: Isabelle Isabelle

Not selected

1. Context:

The final section of the green corridor (between Jordils and Liséron) is an ideal location to install a zip line for children.

--------------------

2. Proposal:

The last section of the green corridor has an unused area (on the left as you walk down). A zip line for children could be installed in part of this area. This would create a small, fun play area in this part of the city that many residents pass through every day.

--------------------

3. Motivation:

The Ouchy neighborhood doesn’t have many spaces for children. Installing this zip line would help revitalize this area.
