How to Submit Your Idea?
Click the “Submit an Idea” button.
If your idea is new, you can then fill out the details and submit it to us.
If a similar idea has already been submitted, you can either join that idea or modify your proposal.
Support an idea
Once you’ve submitted your idea, there are several ways you can support it.
You can:
Support it by clicking the “Support” button: your name will appear just below the idea, and this will increase the number of supporters.
Follow it by clicking the “Follow” button: you’ll be notified of status updates and will know what response the City provides.

What happens to your idea next?
Once you submit your idea, it will be publicly displayed on the “View Ideas” page, and any user can then comment on it.
The City of Lausanne will review it, and if the idea meets the criteria outlined below, it will forward it to the relevant department(s) for consideration.
For each idea, the City provides regular updates (usually within one month) on how the proposals submitted to it are being handled, whether to explain:
the obstacles to their implementation
existing initiatives that follow a similar approach
New initiatives that can be undertaken thanks to the proposed ideas.
Why might your idea not be selected?
We use various feasibility criteria to evaluate proposals
Jurisdiction: Does the proposal fall under municipal jurisdiction rather than cantonal or federal jurisdiction?
Relevance: Is the proposal capable of achieving its intended goals?
Feasibility: Is the proposal feasible?
Resources: Does the City have the necessary resources to implement the proposal?
Consistency: Is the proposal consistent with current public policies?
