Hello,

Thank you for your contribution to the suggestion box; we have taken your comments into account.

The City has clearly identified the issues related to Rue du Liseron, which is connected to the Promenade de la Ficelle. A major redevelopment is planned in the immediate vicinity of the promenade, in conjunction with the installation of district heating. Rue du Liseron will be included in the planning discussions and project scope to ensure a comprehensive and coherent vision for the development of public space. The City hopes this area will become a pleasant place for everyone to enjoy.

To carry this out, a comprehensive participatory process will be launched this spring. The City invites everyone living in the neighborhood to participate in this process and contribute to the discussion on the future of this street.

Community Space - Rue du Liseron

Avatar: Isabelle Isabelle

Selected

1. Context:

Rue du Liseron suffers from significant noise pollution caused by passing cars and the parking lot. The idea is to give this space back to the neighborhood residents by making it more welcoming.

--------------------

2. Proposal:

The idea would be to create a welcoming area on Rue de Liseron, similar to what was set up on Avenue des Jordils this year.

To do this, the municipality could, for example:

  • Remove parking spaces

  • Make the zone a 20 km/h zone

  • Create green spaces

  • Create raised planters

  • Create a small play area for children

--------------------

3. Motivation:

Many residents use the green corridor every day. Developing Rue du Liseron in the same way as was done one street further up would provide continuity in the recreational areas below the train station.

Residents of all ages living on the street could gather here. This would also help reduce the noise disturbances experienced by residents of the street.
