Your request for a shared space aligns with the city’s goal of making the city more livable.

Efforts are currently focused on implementing traffic calming measures in neighborhood streets where residents do not yet benefit from them. Once traffic calming has been rolled out citywide, we will be able to address requests to improve the quality of existing traffic-calmed areas.

Redevelopment of the Clochetons and Renens Trails

1. Context:

The space available on Chemin des Clochetons and Chemin de Renens is particularly narrow and heavily used by children on their way to schools in Prélaz, as well as by parents taking their children to school. Much of this space is currently taken up by parked vehicles, which makes getting around difficult (bicycle lanes going the wrong way, difficult crossings, little space available for pedestrians, and no places to stop, chat, or stroll).

2. Proposal:

Would it be possible to redesign these paths to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, promote sustainable transportation, and provide more pleasant spaces for residents and users?

--------------------

3. Motivation:

These two alleys are located on the route to school, so they are used particularly frequently by children in the neighborhood. Parked vehicles take up a large portion of this space, which could be redesigned to improve pedestrian safety and, above all, the quality of life in the neighborhood.
