This proposal was selected because:

After a technical manager visited the site, we were indeed able to assess the condition of the path.

Improvements to the pedestrian path will be completed before the start of the school year in August 2021.

1. Context:

Write a few lines about the context of your proposal.

A pedestrian path that becomes unusable when it rains.

2. Proposal:

Describe your proposal. You’ll be able to attach images or files later in the process.

The purpose of this platform is to collect and respond to proposals from residents who:

  • Require the involvement of public services under municipal jurisdiction;

  • Aims to improve residents’ quality of life;

  • Do not concern reports of anti-social behavior (graffiti, nuisances, offenses, etc.), which can be filed with the police;

  • Does not concern obtaining financial resources or grants;

  • Are not for-profit.

The “pedestrian” Chemin des Libellules connects Chemin de Boissonnet to the Boissonnet Elementary School. The section of this path made of compacted earth and gravel beyond the rental buildings turns into a veritable mud pit when it rains.

3. Motivation:

Tell us: Why is it important for the City of Lausanne to consider your proposal? – Who will benefit from it? What advantages will they gain from your idea?

This route is heavily traveled by children on their way to middle school and by neighborhood residents walking to the bus stop for Route 41 or the Route de Berne.

Unfortunately, when it rains, the path becomes practically unusable: the potholes fill with water and mud.

However, this section is particularly important to ensure that children can get to middle school safely, even without being accompanied.

This stretch is also particularly attractive, as it is lined with community gardens and a field that sometimes hosts the sheep from Sauvabelin.

It also connects to a path leading down into the forest.
