This proposal was selected because:

Hello, we have received your request. In fact, we have been observing these new forms of housing—such as tiny houses—for several months now. As this is still under review, we are not yet able to provide further details. However, we are happy to keep your contact information on file in case we issue a call for proposals and, if applicable, to invite you to a public presentation of a project that may align with yours.

Villages de ti hauses

Avatar: Ti haus Ti haus

Selected

1. Context:

Housing for young professionals (recent graduates with their first job offering modest pay, or young entrepreneurs making their initial investments in starting a business) does not exist. Or it is too expensive. Young people often continue to live with their parents until age 30 or rent large apartments as part of a shared living arrangement.

2. According to studies, being able to live and work in the same place not only saves time but also encourages young people to protect their living spaces.

3. Publicly or privately owned land often remains unused for years before it is put to use for public transportation, development, and building permits.

2. Proposal:

Temporary “Ti Haus” villages (foldable wooden cabins) to create spaces for living, working, and leisure. Temporary: parks where there is a lot of land that remains unused for long periods before being developed.

What: Establish “Ti Hauses” villages (eco-friendly, affordable), including: individual living spaces, coworking spaces, sports/recreation areas, production halls/laboratories, etc. Green: The village becomes a self-sustaining community: it generates its own ideas, produces its own energy, and shares communal gardens.

Where: municipal or private lots measuring 2,000 m², which are earmarked for development projects over the next 7–10 years. The lots can be leased under a building lease. Since the Ti Haus structures are foldable, they can be moved and reassembled in a single day.

Who it’s for: Young people aged 18–29 with moderate incomes who want to live in the “maisonnette,” work in the same space, and launch their startups.
