La Récré Parentale, a 100% Swiss program dedicated to education and parenting

Avatar: Spasojevic Katarina Spasojevic Katarina

“La Récré Parentale” is a multiplatform communication project for families—a new weekly Swiss TV show about education and parenting.

There are 40 episodes scheduled, each lasting 1 hour.

Its goal is to promote physical and mental health and safety within families in French-speaking Switzerland.

Here is a summary in images: https://shared-assets.adobe.com/link/9d695684-b005-4ed6-503d-8af8a954a401

The Project’s Origins

Parents have a genuine need for support and understanding in several areas of education and parenting. Existing resources do not reach enough parents. Thanks to our presence on social media, our partnerships, and our communication efforts, we are able to connect with parents, listen to their requests and needs, and respond to them accordingly.

Leading experts in education and parenting are joining us to help families by providing answers, explaining what the law says, and informing them about child psychology, their rights and responsibilities, and existing support services.

Parents will receive answers to their questions and solutions to the issues they face; if necessary, they will be referred to organizations that can help them for free or at low cost. The goal is to support them in better managing this “new life” as parents and to create or restore a healthy and stable home environment.

The Speakers

Professor Philip Jaffé (pictured), the UN Special Representative on the Rights of the Child, is THE indispensable person for this project. He was the first prominent figure to join and support the project. We are very proud to have him by our side.

We then built our network through meaningful partnerships with: Profa, UNIGE, UNIL, CHUV, HUG, Stop-Tabac, MenCare (Männer), As’trame, Health Promotion Switzerland, Autisme Suisse Romande, AT Schweiz, and many others.

In addition to our French-speaking specialists—including Caroline Hildenbrand Doerig, Zoé Moody, and Edouard Gentaz, among others—we have also brought on board three renowned French figures who are key players in children’s education and have a large following among our Swiss families, including Isabelle Filliozat.

The Association

The association of the same name, La Récré Parentale, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children, women, and men within the home.

Our initiatives are primarily carried out through three channels

: - Close contact with families:
To achieve this—and, above all, to understand their needs and concerns—we maintain a strong presence on social media. We currently reach more than 150,000 families in French-speaking Switzerland.
This allows us to reach families from all walks of life (Swiss and foreign families, different socioeconomic backgrounds), of all family structures (single-parent, same-sex parent, and opposite-sex parent families), and of all orientations (political, cultural, and sexual)

- Building a strong and well-developed network of recognized professionals in Switzerland:
To help as many families in French-speaking Switzerland as possible, the leading professionals in the fields of childhood and parenting will do us the honor of responding directly to parents

. - Providing information and, when needed, referring families to well-established organizations in French-speaking Switzerland that are ready to help:
We collaborate with associations, foundations, and institutions in French-speaking Switzerland to raise awareness of their existence and refer families to them as needed.

To coordinate our efforts, we’ve created this wonderful multiplatform communication project: La Récré Parentale. It’s a TV show that will air on the LA TéLé channel as well as on all online platforms. More than 350,000 families will be reached right from the first broadcasts.

Request for Support

To make this a reality, we need a total annual budget of CHF 350,000.

We have raised part of the necessary budget, but the maximum amount requested—CHF 3,000—will allow us to begin drafting the topics, with the hope of starting the recordings as early as this fall.
