The 2022 Winners
The winning projects of the 2022 edition:
SuperMoms… for everyone!
The SuperMamans association is a network of volunteers in French-speaking Switzerland whose goal is to support young families by strengthening social ties, particularly with the help of our “MamansContact” and “MamansCadeau,” who provide, among other things, healthy, homemade meals for families. According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), nearly half of all births in Lausanne occur in migrant families. We would therefore like to expand our services to include non-French-speaking families in Lausanne. To do this, we plan to translate our promotional flyers, website, and standard emails into eight languages so that we can offer our completely free, volunteer-based support to non-French-speaking families who request it.

Kids e-motions Activities: Get Moving and Get to Know Yourself
Starting in January 2023, the Le Terrier association plans to organize 38 sports and games workshops throughout the year, on Monday afternoons, at the Maison de quartier de la Pontaise. Intended for first-grade students, these workshops will be led by an educator who will focus on self-awareness, emotional regulation, and getting along with others. The activities will allow children to be physically active, develop their social skills, and improve their French language proficiency. Indeed, given the neighborhood’s sociocultural context, it is important to ensure the children’s social and academic integration—particularly through learning French—and thereby guarantee equal opportunities. These afternoons will also provide parents with an opportunity to take some time for themselves and connect with a child development professional.

I work U play - Association for the Professional Integration of Mothers
The arrival of children often leads women to stop working or reduce their working hours, effectively diminishing their financial independence. Indeed, the lack of childcare solutions forces some mothers to give up working and, ultimately, to become isolated. In this context, we aim to establish a coworking space dedicated to mothers who wish to re-enter the workforce. With occasional childcare provided in an adjacent room, they’ll have the time to focus on their professional goals—whether job hunting or starting a business—under optimal conditions and at a low cost. Childcare will be provided on a rotating basis by parents and volunteers of all ages, and the cost of the spots will ensure that all mothers can benefit from our services. The project will be launched in early 2023 for a period of 6 months, in a space located at Place de la Gare in Lausanne. Five offices equipped with computers will be available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., three days a week. Within three years, our goal is to create several accessible spaces throughout the city to reach a wider population.

Small Loans Between Families
Baby products are expensive and have a limited useful life given how quickly children grow. Families therefore end up storing these items without using them, or they lend them out but sometimes forget to whom. Our project therefore aims to create a website to facilitate the tracking and traceability of baby care item loans between families. The website’s interface would include the following features: a “Lend” tab; a “Borrow” tab; a tab listing the items lent, for how long, and to whom; and an internal messaging system to coordinate with the item’s owner. The project has three objectives: social, by strengthening solidarity among families; an environmental one, by reducing the need to purchase new baby care items; and an organizational one, by providing a dynamic interface for tracked loans and borrowings, thereby freeing up space in families’ homes.
