This proposal was not selected because:

In response to your request dated April 26, we are providing you with the following information.

As a preliminary note, the municipal delegation responsible for construction projects has confirmed that Avenue Recordon must be kept free of any work during the TRAM/BHNS construction project.

We should add that tram construction will begin in the lower Recordon area starting in September 2021, and due to traffic management requirements, it will not be possible to carry out any work on Recordon Avenue. As part of the tramway project, the road surface and pavement at the lower end of Recordon Avenue (between Rue de Genève and the diagonal connector near the crosswalk) are scheduled to be redone.

In a second phase, the small square and the northern section will be redeveloped.

In summary, it is not possible to schedule construction work on this avenue at the same time as the tram project (starting in late 2021) and the work on Avenue de Morges (starting in mid-2022); however, this work will divert some traffic to other routes, and we estimate that traffic on Avenue de Recordon could therefore decrease by about 30%.

We hope this information has been helpful. Sincerely,

Resurfacing of Avenue Recordon on the section between Rue de Genève and Avenue de Morges

1. Context:

Since the road surface is particularly worn, starting on a hill at the traffic light at the top of the stretch is often noisy, especially when the road is damp or wet.

--------------------

2. Proposal:

Replace the pavement with a quieter surface that is, if possible, more slip-resistant.

3. Motivation:

I believe this proposal is fully in line with the City’s policy to combat noise pollution.
