Your Project in Detail
For easier reading, please refer to the attached document “projet_devoirs surveillés.” - Introduction to FC Concordia Lausanne - FC Concordia Lausanne, founded in 1919, plays a vital role in promoting sports among young people in our canton. It enables more than 1,000 male and female soccer players to pursue their favorite passion. We are the club in Switzerland with the largest number of registered members and teams. As a nonprofit sports association, FC Concordia Lausanne is made up of dedicated volunteers both on the field and on the board. Finally, the adult players on our club’s first team do not receive any compensation. FC Concordia plays an important role within the Tuilière Sports Center, serving as a vital part of the lives of children and families in the surrounding neighborhoods (Borde, Entre-Bois, Blécherette, Praz-Séchaud)—areas often home to families with modest incomes. Our facilities and their accessibility allow us to provide a high-quality environment for young people, both in terms of sports and social-educational development. - Project Objectives and Grant Application - Launched this 2024–2025 season, our new club project aims to expand our athletic mission by adding a socio-educational component to better support our young members in their academic and personal development. By applying to the “Call for Family Projects,” we are requesting a grant of 3,000 CHF to bring this initiative to life and help transform the sports center into a space for learning and educational support. - Project Overview: Supervised Homework Sessions at the Sports Center - The situation is clear: many of our young members and their families must juggle school, homework, sports, and family life, creating stress that can affect their academic performance, health, and overall well-being. Some of them currently benefit from supervised homework sessions at their middle schools, but they waste time commuting and are burdened by tight schedules. - Project Objective - We aim to transform the Sports Center into a facility recognized by the General Directorate of Compulsory Education (DGEO), the City of Lausanne, and other relevant institutional bodies for offering supervised homework sessions, just like schools do. This would allow young people to balance sports and academics in a single location, reducing logistical stress and supporting their daily well-being. - Use of the Requested Grant - The grant of 3,000 CHF would allow us to fund the initial stages of the project by hiring a coordinator who would be responsible for: 1. Designing and presenting the project to public authorities to obtain official recognition, while adapting the framework to institutional requirements. 2. Establish partnerships with municipal and educational services to define the operation and structure of the “supervised homework” program. 3. Develop a communication strategy to promote this new offering to families, schools, and club members. - If approved - The next steps will include: · Organizing the “supervised homework” program at the sports center. · Launching the project with targeted and ongoing communication with beneficiaries to ensure family buy-in. · Monitoring and evaluation to measure the impact of this initiative and provide regular feedback to your department. - Conclusion - The project will address concrete needs by combining sports and education in a single location, thereby making life easier for families and strengthening children’s educational integration. Without your support, it would be impossible for us to mobilize the necessary resources to organize this program and enable a new generation to benefit from comprehensive support.
