Your Project in Detail
The SuperMamans association is a volunteer network in French-speaking Switzerland recognized as a public benefit organization. For nearly nine years, its goal has been to support new mothers in their roles by strengthening the social ties around them. The association’s MamansContact coordinators organize a comprehensive program consisting of an average of four visits by volunteers—our MamansCadeau—tailored to each family’s needs. This primarily involves delivering healthy, homemade meals for the whole family, sometimes accompanied by a chat over a cup of tea, depending on everyone’s availability and needs. Despite the overall decline in the number of births observed in 2024, the number of our “pampering” visits has remained relatively stable, reaffirming the value of our various services and the need for connection and support among new families. In 2025, we hope to develop a “Supermamans” mobile app that will streamline the organization of our “bichonnage” sessions by improving access for our MamansABichonner and our volunteers. In fact, our current organizational system relies entirely on email… but inboxes fill up quickly, requests are numerous, and our emails are often left unread or end up directly in the spam folders of our “Gift Moms.” This has the unfortunate consequence that beneficiaries—the families— receive fewer visits and therefore less support during the first few months after the baby comes home, or during important events that require increased support, such as postpartum depression, or when a serious illness strikes the family. This app will allow us to reach our volunteers more effectively; in fact, it would enable us to get responses to our surveys more quickly and achieve a higher participation rate for our “pampering” visits! It’s a win-win for the families we support! To get this project off the ground, we approached Bhaasha, a company that already has an app similar to the one we want to develop. Their current app allows users to connect with multiple interpreters for a given language for an assignment at a specific date and location, based on criteria such as distance and availability. This is the type of model we want to implement with our volunteers. After discussions with them, the development of the SuperMamans app could take 2 to 3 months, with a total cost estimated at CHF 77,000.—including app development, maintenance, updates, and platform enhancements during the first year of use. We anticipate a rollout within 3 to 6 months. This app would facilitate better communication and lighten the workload for our MamansContact, our volunteer coordinators.

We are just beginning our fundraising efforts. We have already submitted a request to the Lotty Buol Foundation, the Paul Edouard Piguet Foundation, and another foundation that wished to remain anonymous, through the Société Vaudoise d’utilité publique. We will be working with the company Bhaasha to carry out the project.
