How does it work?

The participatory budgeting process takes place in several stages:

1. Submit an idea

Anyone living in Lausanne can propose a project starting June 1, 2026.

2. Project Review

The City reviews the proposed ideas.

It verifies that projects are feasible (legally and technically) and that the budget is sound.

3. Resident Vote

The selected projects will be put to a public vote from August 23 to September 30, 2027.

Everyone can choose their favorite projects.

4. Implementation

The projects that receive the most votes are funded and then carried out directly by the people who conceived them.

The winning projects will be announced on December 13, 2027.
