SuperMoms… for everyone!

Avatar: Association SuperMamans Association SuperMamans

Your Project

Translation of the tools into 8 languages, including German and Ukrainian

Because every mom deserves to be pampered, we want to reach out to non-French-speaking families in Lausanne. With the help of our multilingual “MamansCadeau,” we’ll be able to offer our volunteer services and provide relief to these families as well!

Project Partners

We have already received support from the Dr. Fischer Foundation and are continuing to seek funding. Once we have received the necessary funds, we will engage a professional translation company. We have already received two quotes, one from Arrow Traduction and the other from Traducta Switzerland, both of which are based in Lausanne. We will also need our designer’s help with the layout and printing of our communication materials.

Summary of Your Project

The SuperMamans association is a network of volunteers in French-speaking Switzerland recognized as a public benefit organization. For the past seven years, its goal has been to support young families in their roles by strengthening the social ties around them.

The association’s MamansContact volunteers fully organize a program consisting of an average of four visits by the MamansCadeau, several of whom are multilingual, depending on the family’s needs. This primarily involves delivering healthy, homemade meals for the whole family, sometimes accompanied by a chance to chat over a cup of tea or go for a walk, depending on everyone’s availability and needs.

This year, we are continuing the projects we started last year, but we are also committed to expanding our offerings once again, this time targeting a non-French-speaking audience.

Given that in Lausanne, according to the FSO, nearly half of all births occur in migrant families—it’s no surprise that we’ve already received numerous requests in the Lausanne area from parents who don’t speak French. And because we believe every new mom deserves to be pampered, we’d like to have our promotional flyers, website, and standard emails—our core operational tools—professionally translated into eight languages so we can offer our completely free, volunteer-based support to non-French-speaking families who request it. This project alone will require just over 17,000 CHF, according to the professional quotes we’ve received.

The project can be implemented fairly quickly once funding is secured, since the professionals’ work should be completed within two weeks, giving us all the tools we need to update our website (approximately 60 hours, by one of our volunteers), prepare and print our flyers in these languages, and promote our enhanced service on our website and social media—possibly as early as two weeks later!

Your Request

We are requesting the maximum grant of CHF 3,000 to help us reach our total budget of CHF 17,435, along with our other grant applications.
