Childcare (External Link)
Submitted Project: In 2024, in Switzerland, many middle-class families can no longer afford to pay for childcare, which creates an emotional burden for families, tensions within couples, and pressure on children. To support them, the association “À l’uni-sens” has launched a project offering free childcare in the evenings and/or on weekends, provided by qualified educators or those in training.

Queer, Feminist, and Allied Parenting Gathering (External link)
Proposed Project: In the spring of 2025, the Pôle Sud sociocultural center will host the 2nd Grand Gathering of Queer, Feminist, and Allied Parents: a festive and activist weekend to collectively imagine new ways of building community. This gathering has several goals: to create a space for meeting, sharing, and socializing around different forms of parenting; to allow children to meet other children from family structures that differ from the heteronormative nuclear family; to inform and support queer families and their allies in order to create a ripple effect beyond our own families by raising their visibility among the general public.
Project Manager: Elise Magnenat
Target Audience: Open to the general public
Funding awarded: CHF 2,500
“Jeu M’amuse”: Parent-Child Workshops (External link)
Proposed Project: Parent-child workshops take place every Wednesday afternoon, and various activities are organized, such as visual arts, crafts, cooking, movement, performances, singing, and theater. The activities are chosen by the participants, who vote at the end of each session to decide the program for the following week. The goal of these workshops is to strengthen parenting skills, support parents in their role as educators, and encourage shared family time. The project aims to foster a sense of solidarity among families by enabling them to explore cultural and recreational activities together, while promoting the exchange of skills that can be applied at home.
Project Manager: Fatma Chebel
