1. The Project in a Nutshell
: Learn how to transform your balcony into a green relaxation space by joining workshops to create a miniature garden in your apartment.

2. The Project’s
Objective This day of eco-workshops has multiple objectives. These include, in particular:

  • Show participants that it is possible to grow some vegetables and fruits in an urban setting.

  • Raise participants’ awareness of current environmental issues.

  • Show participants how they can contribute to environmental conservation.

  • Promote participants’ awareness by offering practical and interactive workshops.

  • Encourage participants to adopt more environmentally responsible behaviors.

  • Have fun!

3. The Project in Detail
In practical terms, this project allows you to enjoy the benefits of nature, even in a limited space, while promoting biodiversity and growing useful plants—whether you’re a gardening enthusiast or a beginner.

We propose organizing a day of eco-friendly workshops to raise awareness about the environment. This day will consist of several hands-on and interactive workshops covering various environmental topics.

Start by assessing the space you have available on your balcony or in your living room: measuring the area, choosing herbs, space-saving vegetables (such as cherry tomatoes), colorful flowers, or climbing plants are excellent options to get started.

The goal: Make the most of the available space on your balcony by using trellises, hanging shelves, or vertical planters. This will allow you to grow more plants and add an aesthetic touch to your garden.

Encourage biodiversity: attract pollinating insects and birds by setting up feeders or insect shelters on your balcony. You can also plant native flowers that promote local biodiversity

The workshops offered may include:

  • Gardening for Yourself: Participants will learn about the benefits of simple gardening and how they can help protect the environment. They will also take part in a hands-on workshop on planting an organic garden.

  • Waste Management: This workshop will explain how to reduce waste and how to sort and recycle it properly. Participants will also learn how to make useful items from recycled materials.

  • Biodiversity Conservation: This workshop will highlight the importance of preserving biodiversity and how participants can contribute to it.

  • Renewable Energy: This workshop will cover the different types of renewable energy and their importance for the environment. Participants will learn how to build a wind turbine or a solar panel.

  • Lectures: The best way to learn is by listening, talking, and exchanging ideas on this topic—and what better way to do that during these workshops and this event than by attending a lecture?
