1. The project in a nutshell
: Get together to discover local artists while enjoying a regional aperitif.
2. The Project’s
Objective: To provide a stage for up-and-coming musical talents from French-speaking Switzerland in unique settings, so they can be discovered by an audience in a relaxed atmosphere. We aim to organize these events in collaboration with and with the support of the neighborhoods where they will take place. In other words, it is essential for us to invite local artists to showcase their talent and put them front and center on stage. Whether on a small or large scale, this is an opportunity to offer an open stage to the neighborhood’s residents by conducting preliminary research on performance opportunities within the community.
3. The Project in Detail
Lausanne is a deeply cultural city brimming with creativity. But often, the music scene is reserved for artists who have already made a name for themselves. The Afterworks Farniente aim to offer something new by shining the spotlight on unpolished gems of all musical styles. Twice a week (Thursdays and Fridays, 5–10 p.m.), a stage will be set up in a corner of the Lausanne area to host bands, DJ sets, or solo artists. Positioning themselves as a true springboard for young local talent, Farniente events act as a bridge between still-unknown musicians and an audience with an open ear. To complement these performances, a bar serving local drinks will be set up, and we’ll invite a food truck offering an original menu.
