The creation of a giant mural at La Pontaise as an EXCITING collaborative and participatory project for OUR 1018, featuring local artists. The final name and theme of the mural based on our concept will be put to a public VOTE in our Pontaise neighborhood

Together with the new Pontaise Association, we are proud to present a concept/project for an artistic MURAL. This work of art will be UNIQUE; it will bring color and life to OUR Pontaise neighborhood. It will attract Pontaise residents, Pontaise residents, and visitors, and will stimulate and develop a local micro-economy by creating a sense of belonging to our local community in our VILLAGE (nickname) of La Pontaise, fostering a BETTER LIFE TOGETHER
3. Your Project in Detail
DETAILS Our project for an artistic mural of approximately 100 square meters is an exciting initiative aimed at beautifying our neighborhood. We will enlist talented local (non-professional) artists to create a UNIQUE work of art. Five themes will be selected following a public vote at the Community Center and on our website (currently under construction—to be completed by June 2023). The theme of our mural: People, places, events, etc. It will be carried out with the help of logistics professionals and in collaboration with the City of Lausanne High-quality materials will be used to ensure its durability; at the same time, we’ll refresh the mini mural on the left side of the Maisonnette, located across from the COOP—the large cream-colored wall at 11–13 Rue de la Pontaise OUR REASONS (+) Our MURAL will be a celebration of creativity and the diversity of our 1018 neighborhood. OUR & YOUR mural will be a kaleidoscope of colors, shapes, and textures, and it will be created with a great deal of PASSION. The creation of YOUR mural will be an important bond for all of us. Regular tours for schools, partners, local business owners, and YOU, the residents, will be organized periodically to update you on the progress of the work Informational signs will be placed in the area to provide various explanations and link to our future website An ELECTRIC boom lift truck will be on site to handle logistics and technical aspects. Safety measures will be ensured by PROFESSIONALS, and we are committed to working exclusively with local PROFESSIONALS and operating within a circular economy model Recyclable signage will be available to thank ALL of our various local and regional supporters
