1. The Project in a Nutshell

Le Terminus is a pop-up mobile bar and performance space set up in a vintage bus. Occasionally, our bus will set up shop for a weekend in different neighborhoods throughout the city.

2. The Project’s Objective

Collectif 52 is a nonprofit association founded in 2019, composed of 14 young people between the ages of 20 and 27, whose goal is to promote, organize, and manage social and cultural activities. Through our various projects, we strive to create a multigenerational experience, which we believe is essential to their success. Le Terminus aims to provide a meeting place in Lausanne’s various neighborhoods, allowing people of all ages to come together—something that is all the more essential after the past two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

3. The Project in Detail

Le Terminus is a pop-up mobile bar set up in a vintage bus. From time to time, our bus will set up shop for a weekend in different neighborhoods throughout the city of Lausanne to offer a unique, multigenerational gathering place. Our project aims to host occasional neighborhood parties to bring people of all ages together. For each event: we’ll set up a temporary outdoor area with tables and chairs for 100 people (200 people per day) and a concert stage, install temporary, easily removable decorations (plants, string lights, etc.), background music, and occasional concerts featuring local artists. For now, we’re collaborating with the ExoBus association to organize an event at the Bowl in Lausanne in July and another event yet to be determined. We are also in discussions with the Supermarkets association to run the bar at their events in May and September at Montbenon Park. We plan to organize 4 to 5 events on weekends in various neighborhoods of Lausanne.
