Les Ateliers de Demain: Creative Workshops for Young People in Lausanne

Avatar: Justine Tincq Justine Tincq

Short Description
The Workshops of Tomorrow are aimed at young people in Lausanne aged 12 to 15 who want to take charge of their future and help build a desirable future. Organized as part of the Objectif Terre 2025 Festival and completely free of charge, these workshops will allow young people to learn, express themselves, and acquire concrete tools for taking action—all in a festive, fun, and motivating way.
Target Audience
Young people in Lausanne aged 12 to 15 who want to take control of their future!
Your Project in Detail
Project Context: Young people are increasingly aware of the environmental and social challenges they will face, but they often lack the means to express their ideas and participate in the ecological and social transition. The Objectif Terre 2025 Festival aims to provide a dedicated space for Lausanne teenagers to help them discover solutions, learn, and take action. This project will complement the existing offerings for families and young children at the Objectif Terre Festival by providing new content specifically designed for teens ages 12 to 15. Proposed activities: Fun, educational, and creative activities will be offered over the course of 2 to 3 days during the Objectif Terre Festival, such as: - Meetings with “Everyday Heroes”: testimonials and discussions with engaged young people who have inspiring stories - A “green journalism” workshop: An introduction to reporting, photography, and communication techniques, with hands-on experience on-site at the Objectif Terre Festival - Creative and hands-on workshops: upcycling and crafting, repairs, zero-waste cooking, gardening, and planting... - Collaborative games, such as a “carbon story” workshop that simulates the impact of our daily actions - Creative activities, such as creating a collective mural - Opportunities for discussion, exchange, and sharing among young people! Participants will be guided by facilitators, artists, and professional coaches throughout all these activities. Expected impacts: The workshops will help young people realize the importance of their own contribution, with a focus on solutions. Valuable inspiration and new, lasting friendships will emerge! The project will have a tangible impact on the lives of families in Lausanne by directly involving young people in the ecological and social transition. It will benefit all families in Lausanne, particularly those on tight budgets, by enabling them to offer their teenagers fun, educational, and inspiring activities throughout an entire weekend.
