To promote creative and hands-on art in all its forms by providing a space for sharing and discovery that encourages people to disconnect from digital devices.

Our workshop project is first and foremost a tool for raising awareness about our use of digital technology, offering an alternative to excessive tech consumption. We provide a space where creativity and hands-on art become means of exploration, relaxation, and connection—both with others and with oneself. Our workshops invite participants to slow down, rediscover the joy of creating with their own hands, and cultivate a sense of authentic well-being, away from screens. Accessible to everyone, they are designed for beginners, curious individuals seeking new experiences, and experts eager to share their expertise. By fostering creative expression and the development of a variety of skills—and with the guidance of passionate professionals—our workshops ensure a high-quality learning experience in an inspiring and supportive environment.

Mains Libres proposes a creative workshop project in the heart of a potential community neighborhood in Lausanne, aimed at making art accessible to everyone and strengthening social bonds through local cultural activities. In response to cultural, linguistic, economic, and accessibility barriers, this space is dedicated to revitalizing the neighborhood’s cultural life and encouraging the participation of all Lausanne residents. The workshop will offer a variety of activities, including creative workshops, exhibitions, and events, accessible to everyone—whether beginners, the curious, or experts. Furthermore, Mains Libres positions itself as an alternative to excessive technology use by encouraging digital detox and emphasizing creativity and hands-on art as means of exploration, relaxation, and connection. This project aims to foster creative expression and the acquisition of new skills, and to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment, while providing opportunities for collaboration between artists, professionals, and the local community. Through this space, we hope to revitalize the neighborhood, provide a platform for community visibility, and democratize access to art, particularly for vulnerable populations.
