3. The Project in Detail

The project to install a production greenhouse arose from a reflection on the resilience of our system in the face of climate change and the desire to enable the city to also serve as a local source of food (agricultural production). The Urban Greenhouse is designed to be participatory and educational: practicing urban permaculture, producing seedlings to support other urban farming projects, and helping residents take ownership of the resources this space will offer. Our engagement with the neighborhood over the past four months has reinforced our belief that this project is exactly what the community needs.

4. The amount requested to carry out the project

20,000 CHF

• Flyers, website, Facebook, Instagram: 200 CHF

• Management software: 1,200 CHF

• Volunteer expenses: 500 CHF

• One-time assistance from experts with specific skills (solar panels, permaculture courses, etc.): 1,000 CHF

• Greenhouse, installation, irrigation system, solar thermal panels: 12,800 CHF

• Seeds and supplies (tools, etc.): 4,300 CHF
