1. The project in a nutshell

Our project focuses on intergenerational and intercultural connections in our neighborhood through various workshops.

2. The Project’s Objective

Our project aims to encourage people to use their imagination, have fun, reflect, reconnect with their neighbors, form new friendships, and celebrate diversity of thought. The workshops are designed to be characterized by respect, empathy, and sharing, and aim to foster mutual support and the integration of non-French speakers.

3. Project Details

Various themes and activities will revolve around reading and writing, bartering, recycling, and free creativity. Among the activities planned is the installation of temporary, recycled writing stations—designed by the residents themselves—in unusual locations (flower shops, markets, community gardens), where people can take the time to write a letter or a postcard and simply rediscover the joy of connection by communicating in ways other than through smartphones. The creation of discussion groups will foster free expression and lead to the emergence of workshops on illustrated writing, reading, dialogue, creative projects, and literary walks. A performance will tell the neighborhood’s life story, because today it is more necessary than ever to create and write new chapters… all together.
