1. The project in a nutshell

Our project involves organizing a free, open-air multicultural festival in Lausanne-Flon over the course of a weekend.

2. The Project’s Objective

As young, innovative, and dynamic individuals, we wanted to create an event that would promote multiculturalism and exchange among the different communities in our city.

3. The Project in Detail

The festival will offer three types of activities:

1. The main stage will feature musical groups, improv troupes, as well as demonstrations and introductory classes for various dances (Greek, Galician, flamenco, Cuban, Colombian, etc.)

2. Stalls run by various community organizations in Lausanne, as well as a few food trucks serving traditional dishes from around the world.

3. A “kids’ corner” with activities and games centered on multiculturalism, designed for the youngest attendees.

4. The amount requested to carry out the project

10,000 CHF

• Flyers and posters, website, and email: 350 CHF

• Sound and lighting rental, membership fees and form costs, artist expenses: 9,650 CHF
