2. The Project’s Objective

- strengthening social ties - better knowledge of local areas - improved quality of life through new skills

3. The Project in Detail

This initiative is part of an effort to raise awareness about food waste. The goal of the workshop is to teach participants how to process food for preservation (e.g., lacto-fermentation, syrups, etc.). The food used will be products previously collected from local farmers or gardeners through projects organized by the Cultive toi association. Participants will be able to take home the products they make during the workshop. The goal is also to promote knowledge-sharing among citizens by providing a space for participants to exchange ideas. Downtime (particularly during cooking, etc.) will be used for discussions, sharing resources, tips and tricks for preventing food waste (such as apps like Falling Fruit and Too Good To Go), and even—when possible—walks around the neighborhood to visit municipal orchards and local community garden projects.
