La Fresque
A mural created with the community to bring color back to the square
Caroline Bourrit’s winning project is titled “Affleurer,” a reference to the presence of water flowing beneath the square.
The giant mural depicts streams of water flowing through the space. These are complemented by about a hundred white circles made available to the public, who were able to write a wish on them during the inauguration of the temporary installations. Conceived as coins tossed into a fountain to make a wish, these circles will glow in the dark after nightfall, creating the image of a constellation.
